一个良好的课堂教学首先就是要营造一个学习氛围。平时我们在上英语课的时候，课堂的气氛是压抑的，教师在讲台上不停地讲，手上的粉笔刷刷地写个不停，而学生在下面却显得很疲惫，昏昏欲睡，甚至有的学生已经睡着，在这样的学习状态下必然会影响学生的听课兴趣以及学习兴趣。长此以往就会导致高中生逐渐对英语学习失去了信心。因此，为了提高学生学习的积极性，我们一定要在上课之前营造一个良好的学习氛围，充分活跃起课堂气氛，只有这样才能发挥这堂课最大的价值。我们可以通过乡土文化作为切入点来营造一个良好的高中英语课堂气氛，比如我在讲译林版《牛津版英语》高二模块一中的Unit1的时候就是通过乡土文化资源营造了一个有利于学习的课堂氛围。首先，在正课开始之前，我让一个学生给大家讲述了我们的学习生活，我们生活地方的特点以及习惯等包括食品特点、语言环境等，接下来又叫大家进行补充。这时候学生的积极性就被充分调动了起来，然而我让学生们通过略读（skimming）和寻读（scanning）来了解课文中主人公WeiHua在英国留学时候的作息时间以及生活习惯，并且对比与我们的文化有什么区别。这样学生的积极性就被充分调动。

二、结合乡土文化加深课堂学习的印象

高中生学习英语的另一个难点就是对于课堂学习的英语印象不深，而课后很少有人会去复习。之所以学生对于课上所讲的内容印象不深是因为课堂上所讲的知识与我们的生活联系不深，这样即便是我们在课堂上已经记得很牢靠，但是如果我们不及时进行复习巩固，就会很快将知识点遗忘，因此我们要结合乡土文化加深课堂学习的印象。利用乡土文化与我们生活之间的联系使英语知识点更加丰富的同时也更加亲近生活，这样就可以在日常生活中时常想起课堂上所讲过的知识点。比如，我在讲译林版《牛津高中英语》中短语的讲解时都会让学生进行造句，这可能是大部分教师在讲短语是常用的教学方法，而我们会重点要求学生在造句的过程中联系日常生活结合乡土文化，比如对argueabout/oversth.withsb.进行造句时我可能会要求学生联系各地区之间的性格特点来进行。这样不仅会丰富学生的知识面，也可以提高学生对于短语的理解和认识，自然也就会印象深刻很多。

三、乡土文化资源融入高中英语教学的深远影响

乡土文化是中华民族生存发展的精神基础，是中华民族的信仰更是中华民族凝聚力的体现，是中华文化区别于其他文化的标志，作为华夏儿女我们有责任也有义务将中国特有的乡土文化发扬光大。而英语教学的目的并不是为了应付考试，英语是一门语言，学习英语是为了更好地交流和沟通，我们总认为学习英文要结合当地的语言环境，这的确是学好英文的重要方法，但是在了解国外文化的同时我们也不能忘记传统文化，甚至要怀有将中国乡土文化弘扬世界的抱负。因此我们要注意在学习英文的同时融合乡土文化，目前已经有很多中国特有的文化被翻译成英文，比如IChing的意思是易经，Tofo是豆腐，Kylin是中国的麒麟等。我们学习英语的最终目的就是要将这些乡土文化发扬光大，因此我们要注意在英语教学中融合乡土文化，要让学生们明白学习英语并不是因为崇洋，相反的是要将中华文明推向世界，同时也要让学生明白，无论我们今后走到哪里，说着什么话都要时刻记住自己是华夏子孙，并为这个身份感到骄傲和自豪。

农村缺乏教师，尤其缺乏英语专业教师。据了解，农村学校英语课有相当一部分都是由非英语专业教师兼上的，这种现象很普遍。学生接受不到正规的英语学习，加之其它方面的因素，这在很大程度上造成了农村学生英语学习置后于城市学生。农村学生与城市学生在英语学习方面存在明显差异。

一、农村学生英语学习的弱势所在分析

1.客观因素

（1）农村英语专业教师比较缺少那些能力强，年轻的英语专业教师不能长期在农村学校任教，他们一有机会就纷纷走向高一级或条件较好的学校，没有来得及走的也是人在心不在，不安心留下来。英语课由其他学科教师，学生不能很好的从教师那里潜移默化的学到学习英语的方法，直接影响到学生英语学习效果。尤其是被其他学科教师兼任，导致教师时常被更换，也对学生英语学习造成一定影响。

（2）农村学生学习英语受条件限制。他们在学习过程中享受不到应有的教育手段。教育资源缺乏；教育信息传递较慢；教育新理念落实得不够好。英语课上大多是一支粉笔加一本教科书。教学条件好一点的学校有录音机辅助教学。幻灯机，多媒体，英语第二课堂，外籍教师授课等等几乎没有。课外辅导资料少至甚少。学生在课堂上学的点滴知识，得不到拓展加深，英语知识的拓展被受限制。英语成绩的提高一味的靠校领导压，教师教，学生死学，效果有，但确确实实太辛苦。

（3）农村学生英语学习受环境影响严重。英语学习的重要性在农村体现不出来，学生及相当一部分家长对学习英语的态度很淡。家庭对学生英语学习是零效应，甚至是负面影响，加之农村学生信息来源少，知识面，与人交往，尤其是语言表达能力方面较弱。他们性格内向，缺少合作精神，课堂上教师无法将他们转化为“课堂上的主角”学生自主学习探究能力有限。学生仅靠在学校一周那么几节英语课的学习，要想使英语学习有成效，是很不够的。在这种孤立无援的状态下，学生由开始对英语学习信心百倍，随着时间的推移学习英语的积极性慢慢减弱，以致到无兴趣学习。

2.主观因素

农村学生起初对学习英语有极高的热情和积极性。但是，由于他们的自身素质于城市学生的自身素质存在着明显的差异，加之他们在接触英语学习初期，年龄小，个人能力有限，他们容易受客观不利因素的影响。（对于农村学生来说，新教材还是不太适应）他们总是被置于狭窄的知识区域中游来游去，很难展翅飞翔。另外，他们英语成绩即就是差也没有条件上补习班，辅导班，提高班。家长也多忙于农业作业，或打工挣钱，无力辅导孩子。这样以来，他们长期得不到救助，难以有条件得到提高。加之处于农村的大部分教师和学生一样接受新理念新思想要缓慢一些，就严重制约着教育的发展，使学生的英语学习慢慢就置后于其他学科。

二、缩小城乡学生学习英语的差异

1.缩小城乡学生学习英语的差异是国情所趋

以前城乡经济差异很大，教育也受之影响。随着我国国民经济的快速发展，城乡经济贫富差异渐渐缩小。农村文化教育随着经济的快速发展，各种信息也及时得到传递。各种高科技手段也纷纷进入农村各个角落。农村学校在地方政府的重视下，环境焕然一新，学校新添了一定的教育硬件，软件。城乡教育距离有缩小的趋势。农村学生学习英语的条件也得到相应改善，学生及家长对学习英语的态度也跟着往好的方向转化。农村师生在教育方面信心越来越大。

2.缩小城乡学生学习英语差异是态度所定

要使城乡学生学习英语差异缩小，一是来自政府部门的态度。农村学生受教育难是政府部门一直关注的问题。政府对农村学校每年有计划播资助教，改善教育环境，增补教育设施，提高教师待遇等等，这对农村学生英语学习能够改变有很大的作用。农村教师工作环境，待遇只有不断得到提高，才会调动农村教师们的工作热情。二是农村教师工作努力，勤勤恳恳。教师们若有条件走出学校交流学习，或参加业务进修学习，多使用高科技教学，不断接受教育教学新理念，那么，缩小城乡英语差异是很有希望的。三是农村学生生活上朴实，学习上踏实，思想上努力上进。如果，他们的家庭经济条件越来越好，学生们也能像城里孩子一样使用上复读机、掌上电脑等学习辅助物，那么他们的英语学习肯定能取得好效果。

3.国家政策的建立为缩小城乡学生学习起到一定的作用

全国有很多地方尤其是偏远的贫困地区，受到共青团组织、教育机构、志愿者、爱心企业家等资助，关心爱护他们的行动一直在进行中，没有间断。每年支教人数一直在增加。向农村孩子献爱心，捐资捐物，一帮一，手拉手，大手拉小手，校校结对开展交流学习等，使农村学校师生鼓舞很大。一切举措的实施，对缩小城乡教育缩小城乡学生英语学习差距起到了很好的作用。

三、如何努力缩小城乡学生学习英语差异

城市学校方方面面优越于农村学校。尽管国家及地方加大了对农村教育的重视度，但使城乡教育和受教育双方所享用的持平或达到接近持平状态，还需要全社会的努力。我通过亲身参与支教活动，很有感受。农村教育全部可以概括为二个字：简朴。（1）环境简朴 学校简朴自然，几乎看不到景观树木之类的东西。（2）教室简洁 干干净净的教室散发着淡淡的泥土味，陈旧的桌凳整齐的摆放学生们面前。四面白墙上没有过多的贴挂物。（3）师生生活朴素 师生一日三餐一个素菜一份主食，内容循环不变。（4）教学朴素 农村学校教学理念可以说还滞留在应试教育阶段。师生就用教科书，就是大量的题海游。目地只有一个，要成绩。学校对月考，期中期末大考非常看重。
