语言学习要掌握的四种技能――听说读写，是国内外语言学家，教育学家普遍推广，并得到语言学习者的认同。系统功能学派语言学家认为，语言和社会是密切联系的。人类在探索社会环境中学习语言，同时又通过语言来认识社会。[1]本文将口语课堂本身的教学目标和英文歌曲独特的优势相结合，将英文歌曲融入英语口语课堂，并讨论其效果。

1.兴趣促进学习

学习需要兴趣，兴趣可以引起学生学习的好奇心并持久的进行学习这项任务。“音乐的本质是科学；音乐的表现是艺术；音乐的内容是哲学；音乐的目的是教育”。 [2]保加利亚精神病疗法心理学家罗扎诺夫于上世纪中叶创立了外语教学暗示法，提出把音乐应用于英语教学的理念。建立激发个人潜力的心理倾向，从学生是一个完整的个体这个角度出发，在学习交流过程中，力求把各种无意识结合起来。[3]因此，音乐学习的引入，并非让学习音乐作为主要任务，而是通过音乐的节奏和韵律，来增强学生掌握语言节奏的能力。

将英语歌曲引入口语课堂有利于口语的提高。经过半个世纪的教学实验，美国哈佛大学心理学和教育学教授霍华德・加德纳提出了多元智能理论。其中一项智能是音乐智能：乃指察觉、辨别、改变和表达音乐的能力，它允许人们能对声音的意义加以创造、沟通与理解，主要包括了对节奏、音调或旋律、音色的敏感性。[4]多元智能理论系统有力的论证了言语-语言-音乐-节奏之间密不可分的关联性。

2.1语音、语调的正迁移

迁移，是一个心理学术语，是学习者已有的知识和技能对学习者学习新知识新技能所造成影响的一种现象。语言学者段瑞玲通过研究歌手演唱英文歌曲，发现尽管歌手没有经过专业的英语学习培训，但仍可以发音准确，完美演唱英文歌曲，从而得到结论音乐培养人乐感的同时也培养了人的语感，对语音语调的学习是有促进作用的。[5]

2.3文化知识的融会贯通

口语学习的同时，文化学习也是必不可少，尽量避免因文化不同而造成通过沟通障碍。

英文歌曲音乐作品为我们带来了原汁原味的英语，为学习西方文化提供了一个很好的平台。读到歌手麦克林的《繁星点点》这首歌词，仿佛是梵高本人在向人民诉说自己的故事，希望能够有人去理解自己的迷茫和对世界不解的抗争。麦克林从这幅画里看到了一个最孤独的心灵跟宇宙在讲话。歌中麦克林用极尽绚烂的词藻来描绘凡高的画，旨在表现凡高那灿若向日葵般的生命。

学生在学习歌曲的同时，音乐的熏陶是潜移默化的，就在无意识中，学生感受到了内心世界的崇高灵魂的追求。文化的传播和传承也是无地域的。好的歌曲的选择，细心的学习，吟唱中练习了口语，也感受到了文化的氛围。

2.4记忆的强化巩固

在掌握了语音、语调、词汇、句式后很重要的一点就是记忆，否则一切都成为一纸空谈。教育心理学家韦伯在其著作《伴随着音乐的快速学习――培训手册》中提到：“音乐是通向记忆系统的‘高速公路’。”[6]从学习实践中我们也可以知道，英文歌曲之所以容易记忆是因为其一，英文歌曲有合辙押韵、抑扬顿挫、朗朗上口的韵律化特点；其二，学习者喜欢音乐在耳边流淌的感觉，便会不自觉地集中注意力，从而收到良好的记忆效果。英文歌曲是词汇、句式、文化的承载体，所以，我们如果记住了歌曲，也就已经将词汇和句式、文化融为自己知识体系的一部分了。

3.结语

第二语言的学习非一朝一夕，如何更好地有效地帮助学习者掌握第二语言，特别是口语方面的提高，是语言教学者一直探索的课题。本文在前人的基础上，认同把英文歌曲引入英语口语教学中，只要教师能够恰当地引入英文歌曲，善于设计操作方法，通过对歌词的分析，掌握口语化的地道表达，语音语调的提高，音乐背景了解有助于学生了解文化，这样英语口语课堂就真正达到了教书育人的理想教学目标。
