How to Improve Your English Reading 如何提高你的英语阅读水平

To improve your English reading， you should， first of all， choose something you feel important or interesting to read. Don't try to read everything. You should begin with those written in simple English. Don't read those which prove difficult for you at the very beginning.

While reading， don't read too slowly or look up every new word you meet with. After reading a passage and having its main idea in mind， you may turn back and read it again. This time you read it slowly and look up some new words if necessary.

True， you may encounter inconveniences if you travel inpidually， for instance， getting accommodations for the night and finding a place for meals. But nothing can be compared with the freedom which is vital to a person who takes a holiday trip mainly to escape from constraints of his routine life.

Learning to Play the Piano 我学弹钢琴

When I was a child, I was fascinated by the melody of piano on the screen. At that time, I dreamed of being a pianist and having my own piano.

At the age of five, my father bought me a beautiful piano as my birthday present with the money they had saved for a long time. At the same time, my father found a piano teacher for me and every day I would practise it again and again as my father demanded. Before long, my interest in piano was transferred to other things. I began to escape the practice as much as I could. My father found out my impatience. He encouraged me and was stricter with me than ever before. 中学生的英语教学中，老师的教学一直很单调。一本课本，一本教参，一本练习册，几乎是所有课堂的经典！新课改的及时与学习，让我受益匪浅，课改，改的是方法，但是最重要的是要改变一个老师对传统教学的观念。我认为：保持基础知识的清晰度，是我们英语教学的一贯优势，我们要保持。课外知识到课内知识的互动与交流，优秀的教学信息的融入，是我们改变观念的方式之一。

一、英语报在辅助教学中的作用

以往孩子们想获得课外知识，最直接的选择就是做历年的中考题。中考题也被重新组合，变成各种各样的套卷，再转到孩子的手中！所以，我们的学生，就是在不停的做重复的习题训练。一份优秀的英文报纸，就不会有这样的问题。以沈阳市日报社出版发行的英语报为例，一份报纸分两个版，课外阅读版和课堂辅助教学版（习题版）。其中的课外阅读版，深受学生们的喜爱。

在这个版面中，学生可以读到每周的时事新闻，这些新闻都和中学生的日常生活息息相关。孩子们爱读，最重要的原因是，读的懂。

（一）读报，用眼关注

读书读报，是提升一个民族的内在修养的关键因素。让阅读成为一种习惯，是我们孜孜不倦的追求。在和学生进行英文报纸的阅读过程中，我们也经历了从陌生到熟悉，从引导到习惯的过程。在英语报的阅读中，渴望的越多，收获的越多。读报，读出学生们对大千世界的渴望。英语阅读，开拓了学生的视野，积极向上的文字，对于培养学生的健全的人生观有着积极的作用。

（二）剪报，用手创造

剪报，一直是英语老师喜欢用的辅助教学方式之一。学生们，通过剪报，把自己喜欢的内容保存下来，配以精美的图画，赏心悦目，点滴的积累，多次的翻阅，学生在提升动手能力的同时，提升价值观。我们引导了学生，学生按照我们的方向付出了努力！但结果的呈现让我们吃惊。其实，我们做老师的只是开了一个头而已！学生潜能的发掘，才是我们教育工作者最应该坚持的东西。

（三）编报，用脑构建

在英语报纸的长期应用中，我在班级里推出“每月一报”活动。通过对报纸的编辑，学生们的综合能力得以有效的锻炼。一份好的报纸让我们跟上新的时代。

在学生们使用英语报完成课外学习的过程中，以上的活动只是我们计划中的一部分。在这个过程中，我们充分的调动了学生的积极性，学生的创新能力不断加强，自主学习能力有了提高，最重要的是学生学会了团结协作，在一个集体中互相帮助，助力完成任务，这才是最宝贵的人生财富。

二、英语报在日常教学中的作用

无论何时，学生的所学如果不能体现在自身能力的提高，那么所学就是无用的。为了能更好的把握学生在英语学科上的进展，我把英语报融入我们的课堂内容！学生们的英语语感和兴趣，在英语报相伴的日子里得到提升！我相信在学生未来英语学习的道路上，今天的基础，会让他们取得更大的进步！

（一）精读再现，突出重点

在每期的英语报纸的习练部分，第四版是精读的词条式的训练和英语语法的精讲。我把这一部分带到课堂，和学生互动完成。报纸的编辑很用心，从一个词的词型的扩展到词类的应用;从同义词辨析到词性转换;从词组的应用到句型转换;从英语俚语到文化广角，重点考点面面俱到！我根据班级学生的特点和易错点进行分类总结，学生非常容易把握这一学习的技巧和规律。慢慢的，习题练，成为题典，转为题库。学生对基本精读文章的把握也更加清晰。我们彻底的抛弃了死背课文的这一传统教学模式，把死背转换为理解背诵，重点背诵！学生学得不苛刻，老师教的很轻松。在长期坚持英语报辅导教学的日子里，我们正在把被动学习变成主动学习！

（二）行业精英，交流互助

每周的报纸练习部分都有各校英语教师的习题精选。了解行业精英，最重要的是要了解他的作品。通过习题的梳理，我们把硬交流变成软交流。一个题，怎么出，出到什么程度，大家各抒己见，虽然很少谋面，但智慧已经在文字间互溶。我们由最开始的做题到定期交流互听课，提意见谈看法，学术氛围浓了，教学提升了，学生受益最多！英语报纸已经不仅仅是一个知识传播的媒介，更是同行交流的窗口。英语报的价值和作用，远远超出了它作为报纸的意义。坚持用好这一媒介，并不断的提供好的作品给它，成了我们英语教师的共识。

（三）启发教学，优化课堂

学生喜欢英语报，经常投稿。这一现象，很好地启发了我。我所教的班级，在进入八年级后，每次校内课堂作文批改后，学生都会在计算机课上，自己把自己的合格的作文敲在电脑里，然后发到我的邮箱里。我给每个学生都建立一个文件夹，把他自己的作品一个个放进去，期末复习时我们把它打印出来，留作复习专用。遇到好的作品，我会直接投给英语报，再也不用特意约稿！学生们随笔写出的东西，也更加真实感人，慢慢的，我们的英语作文也有了文采。中考的满分作文最重要的东西就是文采。英语报的出现，英语报的应用，让我这样的年轻教师学会了用先进的方法和思维方式去积累教学资源。我和我的学生一样，在英语报的陪伴下，积累成长，耐心耐性得到极大的锻炼。

综上实例所述英语报在教学中有以下优势：

1.内容紧凑，更新速度快，学生容易把握规律，教师便于操作练习。

2.内容丰富，总有一个版块是学生的喜爱。英语辅导报就是我们英语学习的自助餐。

3.互动性强，学生间的互动，教师间的互动，学校间的互动。知识无界，融合创新，英语报是媒体，也是载体。
