JASA Express Letters has been relaunched as an online golden open access journal, dedicated to accelerating the global dissemination of new research achievements and technological discussions in the field of acoustics. This journal provides a unique platform for interdisciplinary research, serving physical scientists, life scientists, engineers, psychologists, physiologists, architects, musicians, and speech communication experts, encouraging them to quickly share the latest developments in acoustic research in the form of letters. As a peer-reviewed publication, it limits the length of articles to seven pages to ensure the refinement and efficient dissemination of information. Once the article is edited and produced, it is immediately published online and then compiled into a monthly journal to achieve real-time visibility of research results.

This journal covers a wide range of acoustic research directions, including but not limited to acoustic oceanography, animal bioacoustics, architectural acoustics, biomedical acoustics, engineering acoustics, music acoustics, noise control, physical acoustics, psychological and physiological acoustics, signal processing, speech communication, structural acoustics and vibration, underwater acoustics, and acoustic education. These themes reflect the multidimensional and interdisciplinary nature of acoustics, providing researchers with a comprehensive academic exchange platform.
